Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form we collect only what we need to quote your job:

• your name;
• your phone number and email address;
• your suburb;
• the type of work you are enquiring about and anything you tell us about it.

Our hosting provider also records standard server information such as IP address, browser type and the time of the request. This is used for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, arrange and provide a quote, carry out work you engage us for, and keep records required for tax, insurance and warranty purposes. We also use it to measure which of our advertising brings in enquiries and work, as described under “Advertising measurement” below. We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We disclose personal information only to service providers who help us operate, namely:

• Cloudflare — website hosting, security and spam protection (Turnstile);
• Resend — delivery of enquiry emails to our inbox;
• Google Analytics — anonymised, aggregated usage statistics, if enabled;
• Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) — advertising measurement, as described below.

Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We otherwise disclose personal information only where required by law.

Photographs of completed work

We publish photographs of work we have completed. Before publication we remove all embedded image metadata, including GPS location data, and we do not publish client names or street addresses alongside project photographs. If a photograph of your property appears on this site and you would like it removed, contact us and we will remove it promptly.

Advertising measurement

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram and use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API to tell which ads lead to enquiries, booked quotes and completed jobs. We share with Meta:

• that you viewed the site, sent an enquiry, or tapped our phone number or email address;
• if you send an enquiry, your email address, phone number, name and suburb, which are converted into a one-way hashed code before they leave our systems;
• if your enquiry later becomes a booked quote or a job, that fact and, for a job, its value;
• your IP address, browser type, and Meta’s own cookie and ad-click identifiers.

We never share the message you write in the enquiry form. Meta uses this information to match it to Facebook and Instagram accounts, measure our ads and decide who sees them, under its own privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy. You can control how Meta uses it for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.

Cookies and analytics

The Meta Pixel sets cookies (_fbp, and _fbc when you arrive from an ad) that identify your browser to Meta for the purposes above. When you send an enquiry we set a cookie (sfg_lid) holding your enquiry reference, so a later call from the same browser is linked to it. You can clear or block these cookies in your browser settings. If website analytics are enabled, they are configured to collect aggregated usage data only, with IP anonymisation. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a short-lived token to verify that form submissions are not automated.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. The site is served over HTTPS. We keep enquiry records only as long as needed for the purposes above and for any period required by law, then delete them.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@sfgpainting.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at hello@sfgpainting.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
